I've always wanted to draw fabrics before, but I've never given myself the chance. I really liked using the prismacolors for this because it gave me more interest and I felt like colors would be more fun. I chose purple because I thought it was a good contrast with the red. I had a hard time getting the shape right at first, but then I just worked with how I though they looked and made up new shapes and ruffles if I messed up. The sheet looks nothing like this drawing, but I'm okay with that. I really enjoyed drawing this, even if it did make me frustrated at times. I feel like I really know how to use values and highlights for odd shapes now though.
I'm used to working with pen and pencil, but I'm not very familiar with charcoal. I realize I'm horrible with straight lines and angles, but that's probably the best rectangle I've ever drawn. I really enjoyed drawing the circle out of charcoal, I feel like it really helped me advance in my skill. There's not much to say though, I've drawn many shapes, and I added faces to kill time while others were still working.
